HIKER REGISTRATION INFORMATION

All hikers who are planning to hike El Camino de Costa Rica in it’s entirety, all at once or All hikers who are planning to hike El Camino de Costa Rica in it’s entirety, all at once or in stages, are encouraged to register their hike here. This registration helps the hiker stay in touch with Asociacion Mar a Mar, a non profit organization who oversees the marking, signing, digital tracks, and maintaining of the route, and assists the hikers, tour operators, the lodgings and campsites, and the communities along the route. In addition, your registration fee will entitle you to a hang tag which lets fellow hikers and others along the route know you are thru hiking, an official hiker passport which you may get stamped at multiple locations along the route, a congratulatory letter and ecertificate after your completion, and a permanent place on the LISTA DE LOS CAMPEONES, a list of all who officially complete El Camino de Costa Rica in it’s entirety. You will also access vital information needed to successfully and safely complete your hike. Lastly, the information and feedback you provide will help Asociacion Mar a Mar continue to enhance and improve the hiker experience along El Camino de Costa Rica.
